Zimbabwe’s opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) rejected the presidential election results in which President Emmerson Mnangagwa garned 52.6% of the vote. In a statement Saturday night, CCC led by Nelson Chamisa said the party “will not rollover and accept fictitious lies.”
The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission declared President Emmerson Mnangagwa the winner of the 2023, Presidential Election. President Mnangagwa polled 2.3 million votes (52.6 percent). His nearest challenger Nelson Chamisa of the CCC got 1.9 million votes (44 percent).
